I have done my bachelor In Portugal (University of Aveiro), followed by my MSc in Scotland (Napier University). I then worked in Spain and Norway until finally I started my PhD in a collaboration between Denmark (University of Copenhagen) and The Netherlands (NIOZ). An opportunity came to live in Australia where i stayed for 3 years. I went back to Portugal (University of Aveiro), where I studied microbial mats in saltworks from a microbial perspective. Now I am in Denmark (Aarhus University) to study fungal viruses (mycoviruses) in soils.
